Police appealed for information to locate Kwami Richards, 42, who had escaped from custody in Lambeth on Friday, 26 May.
He was in the process of being transported to prison by a private security company when he escaped.
Richards was located by officers on the morning of Wednesday, 31 May in the Brixton area – he has been arrested and taken into police custody.
