
Madonna will be postponing her tour and returning to the stage following her recent health issues – great news for her fans.
The Grammy winner was due to head to Europe for the next leg of her tour after several stops in the US when she was hospitalized in New York.
Madonna‘s longtime manager, Guy OsearyHe confirmed this on Instagram Madonna “developed a serious bacterial infection that led to a stay in the intensive care unit for several days.”
A source told Page Six that Madonna had worked 12-hour days to rehearse for the tour, and after her recovery she thanked her children in an emotional social media statement.
“Love from family and friends is the best medicine,” she wrote.
“As a mother, you can really get involved with your children’s needs and the seemingly endless giving, but when it mattered most, my children were really there for me.”
“I saw a side of them that I had never seen before. That made the crucial difference.”
Madonna postpones tour
Now on the mend again Madonna has confirmed she will be postponing her tour, likely delighting fans who were as concerned about the superstar’s health as disappointed at missing a show.
“Thank you again for your incredible support and patience over the past few weeks!” she tweeted on Friday. “I’m happy to announce that the changed tour schedule will be available in the next few days!
“See you soon for a well-deserved celebration!!”

Madonna has since been seen at a Beyonce She has been performing on the show with her daughters since recovering from her illness and appears to be making a full recovery before resuming touring.
